QUAISER KHALID

Quaiser Khalid (Urdu/Arabic: قیصر خالد)(Hindi: क़ैसर खालीद) is an officer of the Indian Police Service and the current Special Inspector General of Police. He is a multiple-time TEDx Speaker and an award-winning Urdu/Hindi shayar (poet). He is the founder of NGOs Pasbaan-e-Adab Mumbai and Jashn-e-Adab Delhi which are committed to the promotion of social harmony through culture and literature. He is currently based in Mumbai.

“Shawoore Asr” (The consciousness of times) the first anthology,  was published in 2014 and led to Khalid being awarded the Maharashtra state Urdu Sahitya Academy Award in 2015. This book was commented upon internationally.

Dashte Jaa’n (The Wilderness of Soul) is the second poetry collection published in 2016.
